PARTICIPANT IN MAJIC FOR LIFE MAKES IT TO PRIMETIME
Heidi Groskreutz, a student of
Majic for Life, emerges as top 20 finalist in the reality television show, So You Think You Can Dance
Fairfield, New Jersey (June 16, 2006) - Heidi Growkreutz received intense training from Majic for Life during the months leading up to her auditions with the FOX ® Network's television show, So You Think You Can Dance. Now, she is competing for the top spot in this national competition.
The 24-year-old California native is a specialist in Latin and swing dancing. Groskreutz is a national Latin dance finalist and a six-time U.S. open swing dance champion. She began dancing as a small child, and says she always knew that she wanted to become a professional dancer.
In 2004, she relocated to New Jersey in order to train with some of the best professional coaches in the industry. It was then that she found Michael Johnson at Majic for Life.
"After a lifetime of dance, I knew that getting a competitive edge would require going beyond training in steps, timing and technique," Groskreutz said. "Majic for Life taught me how to add a new element of intensity and vigor to my performances. I became a fiercer competitor with a much more mature style of dance."
Now, competing against dancers from across the country in styles of dance ranging from Broadway to hip hop to ballroom, Groskreutz said maintaining focus and confidence is more important than ever. "The pressure is on and Majic taught me how to focus and stay cool so that I can perform at my peak," she said.
Majic for Life congratulates Groskreutz and wishes her much luck in the remainder of the dance competition.

MAJIC LEADS HEIDI GROWKREUTZ TO THE FINAL ROUND OF PRIMETIME DANCE COMPETITION
Before entering the contest for the title of America's favorite dancer on FOX's So You Think You Can Dance, Growkreutz immersed herself in Majic for Life's peak-performance training.
Fairfield, New Jersey (August 11, 2006) - Along every step of her journey toward stardom, Heidi Growkreutz relied on
Majic for Life to sharpen her skills as an artist and grant her a cutting edge as a fierce competitor.
The 24-year-old national Latin dance and six-time U.S. open swing dance champion says she has known since childhood that she wanted to dedicate her life to dance. Growkreutz relocated to the New York area to study with some of the best coaches in the business. Then, she came to
Majic for mental and emotional conditioning that complemented her physical training.
Prior to auditioning for So You Think You Can Dance,
Majic prepared Growkreutz for the challenges ahead by working with her to identify her goals and constructively manage emotions and thoughts to maximize her performance potential.
During the competition, Growkreutz earned the reputation as one of the show's most improved dancers."I would visualize myself dancing my routines and getting positive feedback from the judges. I tried to create the ultimate experience in my head to convince myself it was possible. I used
Majic for Life's visualization strategies and I know it made all of the difference," Growkreutz said. With only a week to learn several new routines, Growkreutz continued to consult with her peak-performance coach, Michael Johnson, who utilized his over fifteen years experience as a ballroom dancer to give her the knowledge and motivation she needed.
"During my routines, I was really experiencing every emotion associated with the particular dance I was doing. Before, I concentrated on the technique and the steps. Now I concentrate on feeling the dance.
Majic pushed me to connect with my audiences," Growkreutz said. "As physical exhaustion set in, I increasingly relied on Michael Johnson's time distortion strategies and what I now know about my personal learning patterns."
Beginning September 12, Growkreutz and a team of nine other top dancers are going on to launch a tour across 35 U.S. cities to showcase their talents.
